Kate Martinez comes to The Weiss Agency with a wealth of knowledge from her past experience in broadcast entertainment, specializing in marketing and client relations. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the philanthropic group Sandpipers, serving the Los Angeles South Bay community. Kate is based in Los Angeles at the company head office.
What started as a great radio sibling rivalry for many years between Eric and his sister has ended as Andrea joined the Weiss Agency. An experienced radio executive, Andrea puts her expertise and wide network of industry contacts to work under the umbrella of the Weiss Agency. Andrea has worked in the Radio and Record industry for over 15 years in Affiliate Sales; Public Relations; Record Promotion; Marketing; and Artist Management.
She spent 10 years in radio syndication as Vice President of Affiliate Relations for Entertainmnet Radio Networks, and General Manager at Rockline's Global Satellite Network. Andrea joined Mercury Records as National Director of Rock Radio Promotion, as well as Director of Radio Promotion at Miles Copeland's Ark 21 Records. She then moved on as an Artist Manager at CMK Entertainment/Nashville based in the LA office. Prior to that Andrea partnered with Guthy-Renker as Executive Vice President of "Select Radio Network."
Her freelance activities include Talent Booking for live entertainment events here in the Los Angeles area. Andrea volunteers for "Entertainement Aids Alliance" serving as co-chair for their fundraising events. She is also a member of the Marketing and Public Relations Committee for "Common Ground"- A Westside HIV Community Center.
Heather Cohen joined the Weiss Agency directly from GreenStone Media, LLC, where she was Vice President, Programming. Recruited by GreenStone to develop programming targeting women, Heather oversaw all program content, talent and production. Under her creative leadership, GreenStone was awarded 3 Gracie Awards.
Heather joined GreenStone from New York’s legendary WOR where she was Assistant Program Director and responsible for the station’s local and national on-air content, programs, and production. She also served as Executive Producer for WOR’s long-running, award-winning, The Joan Hamburg Show.
Radio Ink selected Heather as one of the 2014 Most Influential Women in Radio. In 2013 Talkers awarded Heather with the prestigious “Judy Jarvis Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to Talk Radio by a Woman,” also known as the “Woman of the Year” award.
Heather is a frequent participant in numerous industry seminars as a panelist. She consulted Radio & Records on their 2008 Talk Radio Seminar in Washington D.C., and was presented with a 2008 Industry Achievement Award.
Heather is a graduate of Hofstra University and currently serves as President of the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication Alumni Association and is a member of The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication Advisory Board. She has served on the America’s Voices in Israel Advisory Board. Heather is a judge for the Gracie Allen Awards and is a member of the Alliance for Women in Media. She has mentored New York City school children as part of NYC’s Principal for a Day program and has been a Safe Space committee member. Heather judged the Tony Awards for eight seasons. She appeared on The Jane Pauley Show and she has appeared on the cover of the April 18, 2006 edition of Woman’s World magazine.

Executive Vice President
Eric Weiss has been a corporate executive and entrepreneur in the media and entertainment industries. He has been instrumental in the consolidation of the network/syndicated radio industry by structuring mergers and acquisitions for Westwood One Radio Networks, Premiere Radio Networks, and for clients such as Casey Kasem Inc., Global Satellite Networks, Brown Bag Productions, Backtrax USA and Rockline Radio, LLC.
In 1997 he was part of the investor group which acquired control of National Media, a NYSE publicly traded direct response television company, selling consumer products via television and the internet. Weiss served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the Company until 2001. In addition, Weiss served a stint as CEO of BuyItNow.com, a venture whose shareholders included NBC Interactive, Emmis Communications and Clear Channel Communications. BuyItNow.com served as an online market place selling a variety of consumer goods.
Previously, he served as Vice Chairman of Premiere Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRNI) a leading producer and distributor of nationally syndicated programming and services to the radio industry, which was sold to Clear Channel Communications in June of 1997. Before joining Premiere, Weiss was Chairman, CEO and a principal shareholder in AME, Inc, an award winning producer and distributor of nationally syndicated programming, most notably, After Midnite with Blair Garner, which is currently heard on 250 country radio stations across the country.
Weiss served as an executive Vice President and corporate officer of Westwood One, Inc. (NYSE:WON), the nation’s largest radio network. During his ten year tenure, his responsibilities included overseeing mergers and acquisitions, legal and business affairs, and the Company’s International and New Business Development Divisions.
Weiss began his career as an attorney for Mutual Broadcasting System in Washington, D.C. He received his Juris Doctor from George Washington University’s National Law Center where he won the Nathan Burkan Competition sponsored by the American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). He completed undergraduate studies at Rutgers College where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with honors.
